TreeTAC was formed to provide APHIS and other federal agencies with scientific input which will be used to help define phytosanitary risks to our domestic tree fruit industry and to establish science polices to protect domestic producers and consumers. These activities are expected to take place as part of APHIS' public rule making process or through other channels.
TreeTAC's policy recommendations can eventually be used as part of a broader industry effort, which may include congressional or legal activities.
