USApple Hires Adam Sullivan
As Industry Services Manager

Sullivan Succeeds Mark Nicholson,
Who Resigned to Rejoin Family Orchard and Juice Operation

Vienna, Va. – The U.S. Apple Association (USApple) today announced the appointment of Adam F. Sullivan as the association’s new industry services manager. Sullivan will oversee USApple’s industry information program, including compiling and publishing the association’s monthly survey of apple movement and storage, Market News, and responding to industry and external requests for industry statistics.

“USApple is pleased to welcome Adam, whose strong industry background and knowledge will enhance our efforts on behalf of the entire U.S. apple industry,” said USApple President and CEO Kraig R. Naasz. “Adam’s enthusiastic attitude and deep industry roots offer the ideal combination for this highly demanding position.”

Sullivan interned with USApple last summer and gained valuable experience working across the entire gamut of USApple programs, including the industry information program. Sullivan will use that experience and knowledge in his new role.

Sullivan was raised on Sullivan Orchards, Inc., Peru, N.Y., where he worked in various capacities. More recently, Sullivan was employed as a marketing coordinator by Einhorn Yaffee Prescott, a Washington, D.C., architecture and engineering firm. He holds a bachelor of science degree from Ben tley College, Waltham, Mass.

Sullivan is scheduled to assume his new duties as industry services manager effective April 29.

Nicholson Returns to Family Orchard and Fresh Juice Operation
Sullivan succeeds former industry services manager Mark Nicholson, who will remain in the apple industry as the business development manager for his family’s orchard and fresh juice operation, Red Jacket Orchards, Geneva, N.Y. Nicholson, who had worked with USApple for nearly three years, intends to remain active in USApple activities, as an association member.

“Having Mark on our team has been great,” said Naasz. “While we will miss him, we know the apple industry will benefit from his continued involvement, and we wish he and his family’s business all the best.”
